Daily program: Guided Enduro Trip Through Kenya & Tanzania
1: Arrival in Nairobi
Your motorcycle adventure starts in Nairobi, Kenya's busy capital. After you land at the airport, take a taxi to the hotel, where the rest of the day is yours to settle in. The streets buzz with life, and the smell of grilled meat blends with the rush of city traffic. This is your first taste of East Africa's rich and endless culture. In the evening, we hold a tour briefing before settling into our rooms. The thrill builds fast, because tomorrow the motorcycle journey begins!
2: Nairobi to Lake Magadi
The engines roar early and the dust swirls up on the first stage of our enduro trip. We head out of Nairobi and down into the dry land of the Great Rift Valley. The roads switch between asphalt and unpaved tracks through the rugged savannah. After a full day of riding, we reach Lake Magadi, where the evening sun bathes the salt lake in golden light. We sit by the shore with a cool drink and look back on the first stage.
3: Lake Magadi to Moshi
We leave Lake Magadi early and head toward Moshi in Tanzania, with the mighty Kilimanjaro in our sight. It is Africa's highest peak, also called the Roof of Africa. Dusty tracks lead through rural Africa, past wide plains and acacia forests, while the Rift Valley heat stays with us as we near the border. Road conditions shift between smooth stretches and rough, bumpy parts. After the border crossing, a new world opens up as the land turns greener and the air grows moist. Small villages line our path, and children wave with big smiles. The last stretch to Moshi runs on paved roads, but the dusty feel of the day stays with us. At our lodge, we sit in the garden with a clear view of Africa's tallest peak.
4: Rest Day in Moshi
Today is for rest, but those who still want to ride can explore the town of Moshi and the nearby villages with their local culture.
5: Moshi to Lushoto
The motorcycle tour through East Africa rolls on as the route winds on dusty curves through the Usambara Mountains, a true paradise for enduro riders. Winding mountain roads, dense rainforest, and wide views pump up the thrill. The unpaved roads need full focus, yet each turn rewards you with new sights. At the lodge, we enjoy African warmth and fresh mountain air in the evening.
6: Lushoto to Tanga
Today we ride toward the shore of the Indian Ocean, where the city of Tanga awaits us with its colonial flair and a blend of African and Arab culture. The roads switch between paved stretches and dusty tracks through coconut plantations and small villages. In Tanga, we soak in the calm vibe and close the day with a stroll along the coast or a cool drink as the thrill of the ocean grows.
7: Tanga to Msambweni
A stunning coastal stage awaits on our motorcycle adventure as we follow the coast road through small fishing villages and green palm groves. The air carries the scent of the Indian Ocean, while the route switches between paved roads and dusty, unpaved tracks. Potholes and sandy stretches test your skill, but the ride along the palm-lined coast is a dream. After crossing back into Kenya, we head south toward Msambweni, which greets us with white sand beaches and a laid-back feel. The last stretch feels almost surreal as the sea glitters in the sun and the palms sway in the breeze. We end this long ride day with fresh fish and a cold drink right by the ocean, a perfect day on our motorcycle tour through East Africa.
8: Msambweni to Diani Beach
After a relaxed morning, we ride along the coast to Diani Beach, one of the most stunning beaches in Kenya. The route is short but scenic, with coastal roads and lush tropical views where paved roads mix with sandy paths. In Diani, we enjoy the white sand, clear turquoise water, and easy beach life.
9: Rest Day in Diani Beach
A day to relax and enjoy while the motorcycles stay parked. You can try water sports, join a snorkeling tour, or just rest in a hammock with a view of the sea. This is the perfect chance to recharge before we continue the enduro adventure.
10: Diani Beach to Lake Chala
Today we leave the coast and ride inland toward Lake Chala through varied terrain, past small villages and over tough tracks. The last stretch runs on rough, rocky paths that need sharp focus. In the afternoon, we reach the deep blue crater lake set in a unique natural scene, where we watch a stunning sunset from the shore.
11: Lake Chala to Amboseli National Park
The ride takes us through dry savannah and past small Maasai villages as the route shifts between paved roads and dusty, rough tracks deep into Africa's heart. With each mile, Amboseli National Park draws closer while the Kilimanjaro rises like a giant on the horizon. The last stretch runs on bumpy gravel roads, but the sight of elephant herds and giraffes makes every bump worth it. At the lodge, we watch the sunset over the park's vast plains.
12: Amboseli National Park
A full day of safari in one of Africa's most stunning national parks awaits. Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant herds that roam before the Kilimanjaro backdrop. You may also spot lions, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeest on the game drive through the wild landscape. A safari day you will never forget on our motorcycle adventure trip.
13: Amboseli to Nairobi
From Amboseli's sandy tracks to dusty gravel roads, we head back to Nairobi on the last day of our enduro adventure. It is an exciting mix of wild nature, bumpy roads, and striking views. Arriving in Nairobi, this epic motorcycle tour through East Africa comes to an end. The ride is over, but the memories stay forever.
